Manoj Bajpayee (born 23 April 1969), also credited as Manoj Bajpai, is an Indian film actor who predominantly works in Hindi cinema. He also done some Telugu and Tamil language films, and has received praise for his acting in off-beat films. He is the recipient of two National Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards. His most notable roles are as dacoit Maan Singh in ''Bandit Queen'', Raghavan in ''Aks'', Bhiku Mahatre in ''Satya'', Rasheed in ''Pinjar'', and Sardar Khan in ''Gangs of Wasseypur''. ==Early life== Bajpayee was born in a small village called Belwa on the border of Nepal near the town Narkatiaganj in West Champaran, Bihar. He was the second child among his five other siblings. His father was a farmer and mother was a house wife. He studied till the age of seventeen in a nearby district town. Being born in a farmer family, Bajpai says: "we were supposed to do farming in our vacation and cultivate the land."〔 Since childhood, he wanted to get out of Bihar to do theatre. He completed his basic education from Khrist Raja High School in Bettiah. He then went to Satyawati College first after then he took migration to Ramjas College, Delhi University where he studied and graduated in history. After being rejected four times at the National School of Drama, he did theatre with Barry John at Barry's Drama School.〔(Telegraph interview )〕 He married actress Shabana Raza in April 2006, who is formerly known as Neha.
